I think people these days focus too much on huge, grand gestures and forget these little details. While I shower and get dressed in the morning, my husband fills my water bottle, moves my phone to my office, and opens the curtains. In the evening while he takes the dog out, I load the dishwasher and straighten the kitchen.

Tiny details that neither of us think about, ask after, or would mean much to an outsider. But they're big to the two of us. They reinforce our relationship and the understanding we share.
